INS BOX
o meet the very latest requirements from SDMO regarding INS boxes (INS = normal source inverter (EDF) / emergency standby (generator sets)), SOREEL has conducted a new industrialization study, which has given rise to a range of products that have met with clear success ever since their launch on the market in July 2005.
The range is split in two according to rating, from 25A to 200A, the cut-off function is based on a SIEMENS contactor, while for the 250A to 3150A range, a solution based on a motorized (SOCOMEC) switch has been chosen for this function.
Since space constraints have been an important criterion, the INS box range is divided up into 4 different sizes optimized according to the rating.
Two other ratings (2000A and 3150A) will be brought onto the market shortly.
To provide the control functions, which were divided up over several sub-assemblies in the previous design, SOREEL has developed an electronic card termed TSI (Transfer Switch Intelligence). This card controls the inverter via its 5 inputs and outputs and takes measurements and analyzes the voltages from both sources. Its ergonomic man-machine interface and its self-configuration function make it a product within everyone’s grasp.
